The purpose of Mountain Springs Baptist Church is to glorify God and exhalt Him while ministering to people.  "Loving, Reaching, Growing - All for the Glory of God."

LOVING - The Bible teaches that we are to "love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind" as well as "love our neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:37, 40). The Bible also teaches that we are to "love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love" (1 John 4:7-8). Therefore our purpose and desire is to fall in love with our great God and people by ministering to them.

REACHING - In the Gospels, Jesus calls us to evangelize and make disciples. Evangelism is sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and how He died on the cross to save us from our sins. We believe our purpose is to obey Jesus' command to "go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20).

GROWING - The Bible calls us to be holy; "as He (Jesus) who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, 'Be holy, for I am holy'" (1 Peter 1:15-16). This is a call to grow in a personal pursuit of holiness in a growing and thriving relationship with Jesus Christ. Our purpose here at Mountain Springs is to challenge people to grow in Christ through the study of God's Word and offer discipleship classes that minister to the specific needs of people.
